Finished a drawing of my former drawing professor, Dale Leys. I had been talking about doing the portrait for nearly a year and decided it's now or never. Snapped some photos of Dale at an art reception and began working on an almost life size image, 44" x 30". Captured a great likeness. So much of one that he wants to trade a drawing of his for it, which I will do...
Visit my website at www.simmonscharcoaldrawings.com to see the new drawing of Dale.

  1. I'm confused? Is this your personal blog now, or Perspective Gallery blog? There's a Virginia Tech logo at the top with Division of Student Affairs on it.

    1. Don't be confused...come by and see the exhibit. Randy lectured to VT art and non-art majors during his visit here and has been invited to continue his dialogue through the gallery blog about his life as an artist.

    2. Great, it's just not clear that he's a guest on this blog.... you might add a blip somewhere that he's a guest blogger, former prof, etc...
